Evan Fournier: A Frenchman (forever) in Piraeus!

Evan Fournier continues to make history with Olympiacos, as the Piraeus team announced the renewal of the French guard's contract until 2028. This decision comes as a natural progression after his excellent first year at SEF, where he was the cornerstone of the team's competitive identity and was loved like few foreign players in the world. Fournier came from the NBA with the aim of restarting his career in Europe and experienced something unprecedented with the Olympiacos jersey.

In the 2024–25 EuroLeague season, he averaged 16.1 points, 2.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds, while he was distinguished for his efficiency from the perimeter with a percentage of over 35% on three-pointers. He was Olympiacos' leading scorer in the competition, was named to the All-EuroLeague Second Team and reached the Final Four, where in the semi-final against Monaco he scored 31 points, in a performance that was much discussed. In the Greek championship, he had a leading presence, leading the team to win the title with decisive performances in the finals against Panathinaikos. But beyond the stats and titles, what stood out was his attitude: grounded, passionate, and with a deep understanding of what it means to wear the red and white. His relationship with the fans has become almost family-like.

This connection to the Piraeus identity is also reflected in the Ballers Land design entitled “A Frenchman in Piraeus”, which is available on both T-shirts and posters and is currently being offered at a 15% discount. It is an aesthetic and emotional reference to the stranger who became ours, to the player who embraced Piraeus and Olympiakos as if he grew up in Kaminia.

At the same time, the “100 Years Efivos Basketball” project highlights the depth and continuity of basketball culture in Piraeus, a culture that now includes Fournier as one of its most characteristic faces. The Frenchman is not just another player. He is a symbol of a new era, of an Olympiacos with personality, passion and global reach. And through Ballers Land, fans of the team can keep this feeling alive, in a form that you wear or decorate. Because Fournier did not just renew a contract. He renewed a promise: that Olympiacos will continue to inspire.
